Europe IVF International clinic was opened in 2010 and is located in Prague.  Europe IVF International is a private fertility clinic and in 2015 undertook 1010 cycles. Of these treatment cycles, 75% were donor egg cycles.

Europe IVF International clinic is partnered with PRAGA MEDICA. PRAGA MEDICA is a company which exclusively facilitates IVF treatment for patients from abroad who are attending Europe IVF. This includes planning of your treatment and stay in Prague, arranging appointments and providing personal assistance at the clinic while in Prague at no extra cost to the patient. They can also provide additional services such as accommodation, tourist trips, complementary examinations, acupuncture, or dental care. All enquiries from abroad usually go through PRAGA MEDICA.

Europe IVF International is self-contained in a building which covers several floors. The top floor has a terrace which has great views of Prague. The lab is well equipped and the treatment and consulting rooms a good size.

Dr David Kult is the Medical Director. He has over 10 years of experience as an assisted reproductive specialist. He spent a year in the UK working in the NHS at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon. He is a GMC registered specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (General Medical Council). There are four doctors in total and four embryologists. The senior embryologist has 10 years of experience. Most of the staff speak English, but PRAGA MEDICA performs the role of international team and can provide support and translation if necessary.

Like all Czech IVF Clinics, Europe IVF International is inspected by SUKL which is the state department covering health.

Cost of Treatments

The advertised price of egg donation treatment is 4500 Euros. This includes the selection and monitoring of the egg donor; the egg donor’s stimulation and egg retrieval; ICSI; culture to the blastocyst stage ;embryo transfer; classic slow freezing of surplus embryos and 1 year’s storage.  The cost of the first consultation is 150 Euros but this is deductible if treatment commences. The cost of embryo monitoring via the Embryoscope is 500 Euros. Sperm freezing costs 200 Euros.

There is no egg sharing available at this clinic but they offer a wide range of packages, including programs with guarantees of Frozen Embryo Transfer. They have a large database of donors so there is no waiting time unless you have very unusual requirements.

The advertised price of IVF treatment using own eggs is 2000 Euros. Included in this price is

  • Setup of an optimal stimulation protocol
  • General anaesthesia
  • Egg collection 
  • ICSI – direct sperm injection into an egg
  • Embryo development monitoring – extended cultivation possible up to the blastocyst stage (120 hours)
  • Embryo transfer 
  • Freezing of surplus embryos – classical “slow” cryoconservation
  • Blood tests of HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis required for both partners

Egg Donation

The clinical pregnancy rate was 58% for all age groups but for women under 35 years it is 68%.

The average number of embryos transferred was 1.7.

The multiple birth rate was 9.7%.

IVF

The overall clinical pregnancy rate for IVF was 46% and for women under 35 years it is 52%.

The average number of embryos transferred was 1.3.

The multiple birth rate was 3.3% which is very low.

Frozen Embryo Transfer

The frozen embryo clinical success rate was 46% donor eggs/embryos, 40% for IVF using own eggs.

The average number of embryos transferred was 1.5.

The multiple birth rate was 7%.

The clinic prefers to transfer blastocyst embryos.
