Aagaard Treatment Options
The following treatments are available at the clinic:
- IUI (intrauterine insemination) and AID (artificial insemination with donor),
- IUI, IVF/ICSI,
- Anonymous/known egg donation,
- Anonymous/open/known sperm donation or extended profile sperm donation (open sperm donation means that the child can later get in touch with the donor. A known donor can be your friend or acquaintance.),
- Embryo donation,
- PGT-A, PGT-M and PGT-SR,
- Assisted Hatching,
- Embryo freezing,
- Sperm/egg freezing,
- iDAScore – Intelligent Data Analysis for embryo evaluation.
In the case of known egg donation, at the time of donation, the egg donor is known to you. The donor is not allowed to be closely related to your male partner; that is, she must not be his sister or cousin, or the daughter of his cousin, male or female. Also, the donor cannot be the mother or daughter of the egg recipient.
Egg donation must be 100% voluntary. In the case of donation from a known donor, the clinic is under a legal obligation to carefully examine the donor’s reasons for donating, to make sure that the donation is made of her own free will. This is done at the first interview with the egg donor, at which you are not allowed to be present.
If you are a same-sex couple and wish to undergo IVF with donor sperm, you can also undergo known donation – where your female partner is your known egg donor – provided there is a medical reason for such treatment.
Once you have a confirmed IVF pregnancy, you can undergo early fetal gender testing: EVITA TEST GENDER. You will be able to know the sex of your baby 3 weeks earlier than with a standard scan. All you need to do is provide a blood sample which will be later analyzed in a laboratory. You can have this test between 10-12th week of pregnancy, and you will receive the results as early as 1-2 working days later. However, the results can be revealed to you only in the 12th week of your pregnancy. Before the test, the gestational age of the embryo needs to be documented. The price is 1,250 DKK/ EUR 168.

Egg donors are required by law to be tested for HIV, hepatitis, syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and HTLV. The egg reserve is also checked before the egg collection.
