Procrear fertility clinic is located in Reus in Catalonia in Spain. It was opened in 2012 and is a private infertility clinic. In 2016 it carried out 630 treatment cycles of which 45% were egg donation cycles. The clinic is attached to a private hospital via the laboratory. There are 4 theatres and single en-suite recovery rooms. The services offered include gynaecology, obstetrics, assisted reproduction and pre-natal diagnostics.
The medical team of the clinic and hospital consist of 14 doctors specialising in the services offered and two embryologists. The medical director is Dr. J. Ignacio Mazzanti Pérez who qualified in 1996. He has years of experience of working in a number of hospitals and fertility clinics and has undertaken further qualifications in Human Reproduction. He has been medical director since 2012. The senior embryologist is very experienced with 10 years of working in assisted reproduction clinics.
Procrear have a team in place for translation if necessary but many of the staff speak English.
The clinic has ISO accreditation ISO 9001: 2015 (ENAC – Spanish National Accreditation Entity).

Cost of Treatments
There are two different egg donation treatment options differing in price. The advertised price of the basic egg donation program is 4690 Euros. This package includes donor synchronisation (all blood tests and assessment), egg retrieval, ICSI and embryo transfer. Donor medication is extra and costs 1100 Euros. Patients can add any other extra techniques only if they want and this increases the price accordingly.
Embryo freezing is not included and costs 750 Euros.
Time-lapse Embryo Monitoring costs 500 Euros and the cost of extended culture to blastocyst is 500 Euros. Sperm freezing costs 220 Euros. The cost of the first consultation is 150 Euros and is deducted from the price if treatment commences.
The advertised price for IVF is 5500 Euros. This includes sedation, egg retrieval, ICSI/IMSI, embryo monitoring, assisted hatching and blastocyst transfer.
The cost of a frozen embryo transfer is 1750 Euros.

The egg donation clinical pregnancy rate was 80% (cumulative).
The overall IVF clinical pregnancy rate (using own eggs) was 65-75% (cumulative).
The embryo donation clinical pregnancy rate was 75%.
The preferred stage of embryo transfer is the blastocyst stage. The multiple pregnancy rate in 2016 was 24%. The average number of embryos transferred was 2. The clinic submits their results to the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF).
