Salve Medica is an IVF clinic located in the northwest outskirts of Łódź, Poland. The clinic was established in 1993 and currently carries out over 1,000 treatment cycles a year (data from 2018). 10% of the cycles are egg donation cycles and the vast majority of treatment cycles performed at Salve Medica are egg donation cycles (90%).
The clinic is located in a building owned by the clinic with three floors featuring an embryological, diagnostic, seminological and genetic laboratories, a bank of reproductive cells and a gynecological ward with 24-hour medical care. Salve Medica has facilities for disabled patients. There are two operating theatres and one ensuite recovery room for patients.
The medical team of Salve Medica consists of gynecologists, andrologists, urologists, endocrinologists, psychologists, anesthesiologists and embryologists. There are 5 fertility doctors (excluding the Medical Director, Sławomir Sobkiewicz who has an impressive experience of 32 years in the filed) and 4 embryologists, among them, Małgorzata Wójt, a Senior Embryologist with 18 years of experience and ESHRE accredited. The clinic’s staff (the doctors, embryologists, nurses, patient’s service team) speak English fluently so you will not need a translator when you visit Salve Medica.
Salve Medica is an accredited clinic and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 certification and, also, BHP OHSAS 18001 which a British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems.

Salve Medica Egg Donation Programs
Salve Medica offers two egg donation programs with different guarantees tailored for patients with different needs. Small Egg Donation Package – for EUR4,000 with guaranteed 3-4 eggs from a donor and Big Egg Donation Package for EUR4,500 with 6-8 eggs from a donor. What else is included in these packages?
- recipient’s medication,
- qualifications tests for a man,
- cost of sperm freezing,
- extended culture to blastocyst,
- AH – assisted hatching,
- embryo transfer,
- vitrification of not transferred (remaining) embryos,
- storage of the remaining embryos for 1 year,
- embryo glue.
The cost of the first consultation is EUR100 and it is EUR60 for the following consultation. Embryoscope is an extra cost of EUR100. If you wish to have frozen embryo transfer with the remaining embryos, the cost is EUR500.
The clinic also offers egg sharing program at the same price. The Salve Medica fertility specialists recommend and practice Day 5 as the preferred day of embryo transfer. The average number of embryos transferred is only 1.1 so the rate of multiple births is 7% at the clinic.

Salve Medica Success Rates 2018
The egg donation clinical success rate in 2018 was 58% and for IVF with own eggs, it was 43%. The IVF clinical pregnancy rate for 2018 for various age groups is as follows:
- women under 35 years of age – 55%
- 35-40 years old – 41%
- above 40 years old – 18%.
The embryo donation clinical pregnancy rate for 2018 is 62%.
