Founded in 2013 by Dr. Halyna Strelko, M.D., Ph.D., and Dr. Veronika Ulanova, M.D., IVMED Medical Center is a private clinic based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The center’s multidisciplinary team, comprising reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, gynecologists, geneticists, urologists, and andrologists, collectively possesses over 20 years of clinical experience. IVMED Fertility Clinic is a leading reproductive medicine center that performed 1,522 IVF cycles in 2024, including 891 cycles using patients’ own eggs and 631 cycles with donor eggs.
The clinic is situated on the 1st floor of the building and is divided into three main sections: the clinical area, laboratory, and technical area. Upon entering, there is a patient waiting area with a reception desk. Privacy for patients is maintained with separate seating, and there is also a dedicated meeting room located to the left of the entrance.
The clinical area consists of five separate examination rooms:
- Four rooms are equipped with gynecological chairs, manipulation tables, and other necessary equipment.
- The fifth room serves as an ultrasound diagnostic room, equipped with an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus, manipulation table, and additional tools.
IVMED is accredited and certified by ISO 9001:2015, FDA Quality Control. The clinic is compliant with the Assisted Human Reproduction Act (Canada) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations. They are also a member of the Ukrainian Association of Reproductive Medicine (UARM) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dr. Veronika Ulanova is the Department Head and is a highly qualified medical doctor specializing in obstetrics & gynecology, with expertise in infertility treatment using Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART). She is certified by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine), and UARM (Ukrainian Association of Reproductive Medicine). In 2022, she assumed the role of Department Head at Medical Center “IVMED,” where she has accumulated 23 years of experience in infertility practice.

Pavlo Mazur obtained his bachelor’s degree in Virology in 2009 and his master’s degree in Genetics in 2011 from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. He holds a certificate in Laboratory Genetics from Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. Since 2022, Pavlo has served as the Head of the IVF laboratory and as an embryologist at Medical Center “IVMED”, bringing with him 12 years of experience in the field. The leader of the clinic’s embryology laboratory was honored with the Fertility Awards 2023 for his research on the “Candy technique”, recognized as the sole universal method for transferring the oocyte division spindle, SCNT, and ROSI.

IVMED Fertility Clinic Success Rates
In 2024, IVMED Fertility Clinic reported a clinical pregnancy success rate for egg donation of 65% (for both fresh and frozen donor eggs), while the success rate for IVF using own eggs was 46%.
The clinical pregnancy success rates for IVF with own oocytes varied by patient age:
- Women under 35 years old: 49.75%
- Women over 35 years old: 42.5%
Additionally, in 2024, IVMED’s clinical pregnancy success rate for frozen embryos was 39%. The average number of embryos transferred per single transfer at IVMED in 2024 was 1.2.
IVF Costs at IVFMED
The cost for an initial consultation with a doctor ranges from EUR 100 to EUR 150. The consultation with a fertility doctor costs EUR 100 while the consultation with the chief physician or leading specialist (dr Strelko, dr Ulanova) costs EUR 150. This fee is deductible from the overall treatment cost if the patient proceeds with treatment after the consultation.
For IVF using own eggs, the cost is EUR 3,500. This includes comprehensive services such as medical consultation, stimulation, drugs, punction with anesthesia, ICSI, and fresh embryo transfer.
The cost of the Egg Donation Program is EUR 4,000, which includes donor stimulation, necessary drugs, and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection). This comprehensive package ensures that patients receive all essential services for successful treatment.
Extended culture to blastocyst stage is available for EUR 850, providing patients with the option for advanced embryo development.

In 2024, our clinic welcomed patients from around the world, reflecting a truly diverse international community. The largest groups came from Germany (20.2%), Israel (15%), and Japan (14%), followed by Ireland (8.3%), the USA (7.8%), and Spain (7.3%).
IVMED’s patient base also included individuals from from Austria, Italy, and Switzerland (each 3.6%), as well as China and Portugal (each 2.1%) and Slovenia (1.6%). Smaller but valued numbers of patients joined us from Argentina, Bulgaria, Canada, Romania, France, and Sweden (each 1%), and from Belgium, Brazil, Poland, and Croatia (each 0.5%).

Kyiv is easily accessible by train from major European cities, and the nearest train station to the clinic is just a 3-minute walk away. Additionally, the clinic has arrangements with local hotels for accommodation.
It takes just 10 minutes to reach the clinic from the Central Station. IVMED offers patients general support, including free transportation to the clinic.
