Vita Altera – My Personal Review

About the clinic
Vita Altera IVF Center was founded in 2018 in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus, and has quickly established itself as one of the leading fertility centres in the region. Despite being a relatively young clinic, the level of technology and care on offer is immediately apparent.
The lab is equipped with the Vitrolife Embryoscope+, allowing embryos to be monitored continuously, 24 hours a day, without ever being disturbed. The clinic also uses the Chip ID Security System, the first and only of its kind in Northern Cyprus, which ensures that samples are tracked and matched with complete accuracy at every stage of treatment. Treatments available include IVF, ICSI, egg and sperm donation, embryo donation, egg freezing, and genetic testing using next-generation sequencing.
Arrival at the clinic
Vita Altera occupies a distinctive and prominent building in its area, the kind that you notice. It stands out, not in a showy way, but in a way that tells you something deliberate has been built here.
Inside, the feeling is immediately warm, calm and organised. Everything has a sense of order to it, without feeling cold or clinical. From the very first moment, you feel that you are somewhere that has been set up with the patient in mind.
The consultations
My first meeting was with Patient Coordinator Salamat Tajiyeva, and her experience shows immediately. She walked me through all the documentation carefully and unhurriedly, and there was something in the way she handled it all that genuinely made me feel calmer. That is not a small thing when you are at the start of a journey like this.
Then I met Dr Ali Kurt. He was welcoming from the start, and what stood out was how he listened. He didn’t rush to solutions or explanations. He took his time first gathering my full medical and personal history, making sure he understood the complete picture, and only then did he walk me through what the next steps could look like. That approach, patient first and clinical second, made a real difference.
The lab
The lab, as always, was one of the highlights of the visit.
There is something about stepping into a fertility laboratory that never gets ordinary. Embryologist Tuğberk Kopca guided me through the space, explaining the technology and what actually happens inside a lab like this. The detail, the precision, the extraordinary nature of what takes place in those rooms, it is genuinely fascinating every single time. I always leave feeling like I could stay longer.
The Embryoscope+ was particularly impressive to see up close, continuous monitoring, no disturbance to the embryo, and the Chip ID Security System added another layer of reassurance about the care taken with every single sample.
Final thoughts
What stays with me most about Vita Altera is not any single moment or piece of technology. It is the feeling of the whole place.
The team here operates with the closeness of a family. You can feel it in the way they communicate, the way they move through the clinic, the way each person you meet seems genuinely invested in what they are doing and in the people in front of them. It is an atmosphere that is hard to manufacture and impossible to fake.
Vita Altera is for the patient who wants warmth and genuine human care alongside solid scientific expertise. Someone who wants to feel guided, not processed; listened to, not rushed. A patient who values the feeling of being in a place where everyone around them is working together, closely and with real purpose, towards the same goal.
