IUI, or Intrauterine Insemination to give it its full name, is a fertility treatment that involves placing sperm directly into the woman’s uterus in order to fertilise the egg naturally. It can be carried out using the patient’s partner’s sperm or donor sperm. The procedure is less invasive than IVF and considerably cheaper, costing between $500 and $2,000, depending on what is included in the price of treatment.
Although IUI may sound like an appealing alternative to IVF, this treatment is not suitable for everyone. IUI is mainly used for patients who have low ovarian reserve, low-quality eggs, severe endometriosis, blocked fallopian tubes, or other diagnosed fertility problems. Egg Donation Mexico

Egg Donation in Denmark
In Denmark, it is allowed to use donated eggs (and sperm) in IVF/ICSI treatment. Both options are allowed to infertile heterosexual couples, single women and female couples. Patients can choose between anonymous and open donors. The former option means that it won’t be possible, neither for them nor for their children, to get any information on the donor’s identity. In the case of the latter, children will be able to get information on their donors when they turn 18. However, the donor is not obligated to make any contact with the child. If the donor agrees to get in touch with the child, the contact can be done via email, telephone or a real meeting – whatever the child and the donor feel most comfortable with.

As mentioned before, in Denmark, donors can choose to stay anonymous or become open donors. The information on donors revealed to recipients includes age, race, blood type and Rh factor, eye and hair colour, height, weight and completed education. They are matched on the basis of the phenotype and their genetic history. Egg donors have to be between 18 and 35 years old. In order to be qualified for donation, they undergo a mandatory psychological examination and are screened for sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and genetic disorders.

Unlike European countries, it is not easy to find a comprehensive breakdown of IVF success rates in Mexico. A 2020 study even suggested that some fertility clinics in Mexico are deliberately vague about their success rates, or patients are otherwise not being given the full picture. Through our extensive research, we have discovered that IVF success rates vary wildly, from 35% to 65%, depending on the age of the patient, with some clinics even claiming success rates as high as 90%.
It is important to do your own research into IVF success rates before agreeing to treatment. A fertility clinic should ask about your own medical history in detail, taking into account your age, weight, height, infertility diagnosis, the number of failed cycles, performed tests and procedures. After receiving all this information, a reputable clinic should be able to deliver a personalised prognosis. If they are unable to do this, then we advise to proceed with caution.
